FYI, Dawg's drink of choice is a large Dunkin' Donuts French vanilla iced coffee, light with cream and 4 Splendas.

He hates healthy stuff... for the most part, but I would LOVE to try these! He might need to suffer for me. ;)

Dunkin Donuts does have delicious muffins! I've never tried the bran though - maybe that will be next on my list. I'm excited that it's pumpkin muffin time now. I wonder if the genetic predisposition for only Dunkin Donuts bran muffins will be true for the boys too. :-)

I love bran muffins. Give these a try, they are my favorite ...very moist and flavorful. I also add some raisins to the mix

Buttermilk Bran Muffins

10-12 servings

1 cup wheat bran
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/4 cups white flour or whole wheat flour
1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup oil
1 cup buttermilk
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoons molasses

Mix first 5 ingredients together in a large bowl.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full with batter.
Bake at 350°F for 16-18 minutes.
Check for doneness with a toothpick.
Serve with or without butter

Mmm! Muffins sound good. There is nothing quite like Dunkin' Donuts coffee and baked goods. So good, but not necessarily good for you.
