Question of the day…

Whilst (I can’t believe I just typed that, but it’s staying) in New York City this past weekend, walking through the Theatre District, I passed a sign for the Broadway musical Spring Awakening.

I realized that the only reason I even know about the musical in the first place is because it was performed in an episode of the new version of 90210.

And that got me thinking… is it sadder that I’m in my late 20’s and I admit to enjoying watching 90210 – or that I depend on the show to get my cultural references?

  1. Hahaha! Isn’t that the one where the Harry Potter guy has a nude scene? If so that’s the only reason I know about it and that’s probably more sad!

Tee hee! I agree with your Mom ;) Don’t worry though…I’m the same way! LOL!

BTW, I was switching back and forth last night between the Presidential Debate and 90210!!! I admit that I am addicted to the show. I tried to convince myself that I wouldn’t like it because I was a huge fan of the original 90210…and because I am now in my early 30’s and watching a show about a bunch of “teens” seems really sad to me. Hey, I am even hooked on Gossip Girl. I know…sad, eh? LOL!

I think it makes us hip! At least..that’s what I tell myself to make me feel better about LOVING 90210…and Gossip Girl.

Too funny. I’m not answering that but your mom is so funny.

I was reading this and kept thinking, “where did I hear about Spring Awakening?” Then I read on so I guess I’m in the same boat. Oops.

I happen to be a 30 year old male and definitely dig 90210. I felt I owed it to the original to try the new one and I found myself smitten. But I did hear about and go see Spring Awakening before seeing it on the show. So at least I have that going for me.

Well, I’m in my mid (ok later than mid) 30s and I like the new version of 90210. Pathetic, I know. And WTF.
