A winter afternoon.  Grandkids.  A hill.  Sleds.  Happy people…

Can you say… a Norman Rockwell masterpiece of a day!

That looks like so much fun, Sharon!! I so wish we could experience snow here…even if just for enough time to go sledding for a day!

  2. Hello grandma Sharon….I just read your comment about my niece having the baby and I just got news that she is at 8 cm dilated, which means any time now! I got the call as I am reading your comment. She is out of pain, so it is a waiting game. I sort of think he will be born around 5:05 pm this afternoon. They are all taking bets on his weight. I say 8 lbs. 10 oz. 21 inches. I will post when he is born…..My sister said there have been 5 births today and all were induced around the same time as Dayna.

  3. Now I will comment on your fun day with grandkids….How neat that you are in great health to play with them. These are fabulous pictures!

  4. Hi Sharon…..Baby news…..Evan Reed was born about 3 hours ago weighing 8 lbs. 10 oz. My niece is doing good and I don’t have any of the particulars besides this, so I will post a picture soon with details. I knew you were anxious to know….thanks for being so caring!

My girls want to go sledding so badly! Despite the fact that we have a lot of snow, when the windchill is -24 it’s just way too cold to go out AT ALL. I’m the biggest baby when it comes to the cold. I really should live somewhere else. The really sad part is that we have 5 days off in a row thanks to school cancellations, but it’s just too cold to do anything.
Your an awesome grandma to go sledding with the kids like that!

Such good action shots! I have great sledding memories from when I was younger. Those are the perfect winter moments that stay with you always – even when a winter blizzard leaves your car stuck in the snow in the middle of the street or ice triples your commute time! Even in those moments I can’t help but have a soft spot for winter weather. :-)
