Bloggers Give back

One thing about being a blogger – especially in the mommy sphere – is that you get lots of products sent your way. Some are for you, some are for your readers, which you offer them through contests (such as through The Giveaway Connection… a wonderful service, if I do say so myself).
Sure, it’s fun and exciting for us bloggers and our readers to get things… but what about people in the world who really, truly need things? That’s the question that started nagging Trisha from MomDot, and she decided to do something about it.
Trisha has just launched Bloggers Give. The idea behind the program is this: each time a blogger is approached by a company to host a giveaway or review a product, that blogger will also ask for one additional item to be donated to Bloggers Give.
Bloggers Give is excited to have teamed up with The Center for Courageous Kids as the first charity to benefit from this great program.
Trisha has asked us to help be a part of the project, spreading the word and goodwill. Bloggers are a very community-minded group. I just know we can make a difference together.

I LOVE this idea!

What a great idea. I wish I knew about this sooner.
That is such a great idea! A way for us all the give back when we get the chance.
This is an awesome idea. I have actually sent my stuff to a few mom blogs for giveaways and the giveaways never happened!! They were hoarding… ug. I just hooked up with Trisha on Twitter. She seems super cool!
