I get the Daylight Savings Time thing from an agrarian point of view and all that, but as I was driving home tonight at 6:00 pm and realized that on Sunday it will be dark at 5:00 pm… well, that just set “winter” in my mind. But I am trying to be positive about the [...]

DIY Halloween Costumes for MOMS

If your kids are anything like my kids… they want me to dress up for Halloween. Last year was the first year the “begging” started. My husband (the ever-loving-Halloween-Dad) donned a Chicken Suit for his sons. I knew I had to do something, so I pulled together a “punk” look. My sons didn’t know what [...]

Fashion Advice for Moms – Eyeglasses as an Accessory?

Are you ready for some eye-catching fashion? Eyeglasses as accessories. I started wearing glasses about a year ago. I remember going to the optometrist last November and having him ask me after my exam, “How have you been driving this long at night without glasses?” I simply explained, “I haven’t.” He immediately had my prescription [...]

Fashion Advice for Moms: SuperMom Capes

Fashion Advice for Moms: Super”MOM” Capes! OK… not really capes, moms (although we do deserve them!). On October 6th… (I remember the day because it was my mom’s 57th birthday and the day she skydove!) I headed to NYC for a LaundryHE “Bubbles and Bubbly” event hosted by Wisk. I remember when I was first invited to the event, a question was tossed out at me, “Do you think more bubbles [...]

Tucking Them In…

I had a moment this morning that flooded back memories… memories stored in some box in my mind. The box must certainly be covered, of course, in order to keep the memories preserved. But the cover on the box is easily lifted at the very perfect moment. All of the boxes in our minds are [...]

What to Wear with Sweatpants (Oh, moms… yes. The dreaded sweatpants)

What to Wear with Sweatpants. As a work-at-home mom I’m in sweatpants quite a bit during the week (OK, pretty much all day when I’m home). Sweatpants are comfortable, easy and cozy. They also double as great wear to play with the kids in… I don’t know about you, but I’m usually crawling, running, chasing, [...]
