what a great post! My first duty station after college was in San Antonio and the first thing I did was get a pair of boots (mine weren't $600 though!) they are still the most comfortable footwear I own, they are all beat up, I get compliments on them all the time, and I can't tell you how many hours I've spent two-stepping in them at Nashville Waikiki (as ridiculous as the name sounds, it is, in fact, a country bar in Waikiki). I even almost wore them under my wedding dress. I'm not kidding. Lori, I love your 5 must-haves! We're moving to TX in less than 3 years and our dream is to have land and become as self-sufficient as possible (aka: work. hard.) Can't wait to check out your blog!
