When I’m not in sweats… I’m in jeans. I love skirts and dresses and leggings, but I’m most comfortable in my jeans. I love that I can wear jeans to just about anything. Call it a love affair with denim…
I am asked frequently about some great jeans to invest in. Jeans are as personal as a bathing suit, you want them to fit perfectly. There are certain requirements we want from our jeans: comfort, good fit and flattering shape. (Really, is this too much to ask?)
In continuing my (last week of 2009) Best of the Best Series… let’s talk JEANS.
I think there’s one major misconception about jeans… you do not have to spend a fortune to find a fabulous pair of jeans. There are definitely brands that are on the more expensive side… and yes, those jeans are amazing and I would recommend investing in a pair if you can. BUT, there are also some wonderful options that are on the more reasonable side of things.
Here are my TOP 5 Best of the Best in JEANS for MOMS:

Not Your Daughter’s Jeans
Last March I had a few bloggers recommend that I check out Not Your Daughter’s Jeans. I had never worn them before or even seen them before… and then I was transformed! You want lift? You want tuck? You want comfort and shape and fit? You’ve got it here.

Beija-Flor Denim
I was introduced to Beija-Flor Denim this past summer. What I adore about these jeans is that they are higher in the back… but with midrise in the front, keeping them oh-so-fashionable. These are the kind of jeans you can wear all day long, and they keep their shape and fit perfectly.

Wet Seal – Fashionista Skinny Jean.
I own these and I love these! For $24.50, you get a fabulous pair of stretch skinny jeans. I love these because they form perfectly to your body. If you are looking for skinny jeans – honestly, look no further. Not to mention… they are THE jean to wear with boots. They also come in different washes.

7 For All Mankind
I have always been a 7 For All Mankind lover. These were the first pair of jeans I invested money into… and I will tell you, I have owned the same jeans for over 8 years. The quality is amazing. They really stand up to the test of time – which is KEY.

GAP Long & Lean
The GAP is a denim establishment. I remember buying my jeans from the GAP when I was in 6th grade with my babysitting money. What I love about the GAP is their price points and their incredible selections. I even only buy my sons jeans from the GAP. The 1969 Collection is AWESOME.

We couldn’t agree more! Finding jeans that fit perfectly is key. If you can’t find jeans that fit, try http://www.indidenim.com

Your blog has some great advice…love the tip about a clean mirror!
I love the DKNY soho jean. The color is a great dark denim and the petite length fits perfect. they stretch to your body so you can run and jump and play with your kids.
Oh you know I share in your affair with denim. I like my Sevens a lot, but Joes are my hands-down faves.
Just the thought of shopping for a pair of jeans gives me a headache.
