Oh… you Skinny Cow, you!
The first time I saw Nestle’s Skinny Cow products at Sam’s Club… I couldn’t get over the genius in the name of the ice cream treats. Lowfat ice cream with a fabulous name… they got me. Hook, line and sinker.
Well… now that I’m in training for a 200 mile relay race (I will be running 17 miles in all), I’ve been really trying to balance my workouts with sensible food and lowfat treats. Let’s face it… all moms need some treats. It’s just an essential part of the week (or day – depending upon the “day” we’re having!).
With my family of 6, Sam’s Club is the easiest way for us to shop for certain essentials… bread, milk, eggs, cereal, wet wipes, coffee and diapers. It’s our one-stop shop… and after this past summer, it’s been my Skinny Cow heaven. When Sam’s Club approached me to let my readers know about Sam’s Club treats – it was a no-brainer for me because these are treats I like love.

So what is it that I sink my teeth into? Well… my sons could tell you (because I could devour a bunch in a sitting if I let myself) without so much as a hint of hesitation – Ice Cream Sandwiches! They’re 97% fat free – but you wouldn’t have a clue! They are THAT good. There are also Truffle Bars that could knock your socks off… I’m not kidding. Absolutely delicious!
Usually the big hang-up on buying ice cream treats is the melting factor. It’s not always fun. I’ve been on the receiving end… and it’s not fun. Especially being out with my boys – it’s not always easy to time our errands where we hit Sam’s last… but it’s what we try to do so that nothing will melt on the way home.

I love these things – they were a lifesaver to me two years ago when I finally joined Weight Watchers to lose the rest of my baby weight, and they continue to be one of my favorite dessert treats – especially after a hectic day with my class of 5th graders!! (And the bonus is my 4 year old loves them too, and has no idea that they are “healthy food”!)
I like to freeze yogurt and eat it right out of the small container when its frozen. Yummy!

I have actually never shopped at Sams AND I have never tried the skinny cow icecream, so that will be on my list to find! Are they also at walmart?

These saved my “lifestyle change” when joining weight watchers some years ago. Having lost over 80 pounds, they are still my GO-TO treat when I need to eat something that is decadant and makes me feel like I am cheating- even though I am not
I haven’t tried these but like looks of the chocolate and peanut butter sandwiches! I will have to look for this brand at Sam’s this weekend!
as much as i adore chocolate, my favorite ice cream is vanilla. (i know – boring!) i’m a purist!!

The ones with chocolate ice cream look really yummy! I’m not a huge fan of cold treats (I prefer hot, melty chocolate things), but if I HAD to choose something cold (on a hot day) it would be those Skinny Cow Chocolate ice cream sandwiches.

They all look absolutely delicious, but I haven’t actually tried them yet. I’m going grocery shopping tomorrow and will probably have to pick some up now . . . since I’m craving them. The mint fudge cones look AMAZING. So do the ice cream sandwiches, but I’m afraid my husband might eat those ones. This would be a treat I’d want to hoard . . . unless, of course, I won a GC then I could afford to buy in bulk at Sam’s and share!

When I first started Weight Watchers last year, I would not gaze upon the ice cream section at the grocery store because most diet ice creams taste like cardboard. I bought some Skinny Cow Vanilla Truffle bars when the temptation became overwhelming and I just had to have some kind of ice cream..it was wonderful!
I’m dying to try the new White Mint Truffle bars, they sound yummy.
