Shopping for Ponchos

Outerwear… the part that drives me crazy about this time of year. I’m a sun girl and I love to be able to leave the house in a tee and (well…) nothing else. But – that’s just not the case. I have to wear a winter coat right now… it’s a must and a necessity.

So what happens when March, April and May start rolling in? It’s (I hope and pray) not cold enough for the puffer coat and wool wrap coat anymore… but you still need something. With spring fashions upon us – every which way – there have been such great options for spring outerwear. But one option I love – which was very popular this fall – and continues to be through the spring – is the PONCHO! What I love about ponchos… and moms, you will understand and appreciate this – any BODY can wear a poncho. You don’t have to be a certain size or shape to get away with wearing these babies. I’m telling you – this is my MAIN ESSENTIAL in finding items that work – when you can toss size and shape out the window. Our bodies have changed enough… must we highlight the clothing that will only fit size “0″ ladies?

But the BEST PART about the poncho is that you can find some amazing selections right now at sale prices! For a fashionable and easy way to segueway into spring outerwear, the PONCHO is such a great option. I just scored one this weekend at Chico’s Manhattan Poncho for $39.99!

  • I so agree – I love the poncho look and feel when I where one. I’m really loving the BCBG turtleneck one!

  • Oh shoot…I just gave away all of my ponchos! Guess I better get out and get some new ones

  • Hi, you have got to check out the wonderful children’s ponchos from Peri Ponchos (www.periponchos.com)

I think you might enjoy. I can tell you that our kids love them, and they’re really easy to pop on (& off) the kids.

Everything you wrote about ponchos for adults, is doubly true for kids!
