Spring Fashion Alert: Maxi Dresses are BACK!

Last spring Maxi Dresses were everywhere… it seems Spring 2010 is the same way, too. Maxi’s are fabulous because you can find one to fit any fashion need: casual, sexy, chic, comfortable, etc. Not to mention, you can find them in gorgeous floral prints, cool geometric shapes, solid colors and in a variety of fabrics.

There are a few things you have to keep in mind before purchasing a Maxi Dress:
1. Your height. I’m 5 feet, I can tell you without hesitation, unless I get my Maxi Dress hemmed, it looks like I’m wearing a strapless-Snuggie out and about for fun.
2. If it’s comfortable to wear over a bathing suit. Last summer I saw many women with Maxi’s on at the beach, at the pool and at our local YMCA. Make sure you find one with enough support on top where you can feel comfortable wearing it over a bathing suit and it’s not going to be all bulky.
3. Regardless of your size on top (ahem…), make sure you find a Maxi Dress with a built-in shelf bra. Believe me, it’s just better to have support than not to have support.
