It’s almost summertime in New England! I cannot wait! I may be jumping the gun on filling the boys’ drawers with shorts and tees (I have packed away all the pants!). I may be jumping the gun on getting the beach bag packed (it truly is!). I may even be jumping the gun on getting the slip-and-slide out (it was only 60 on Tuesday). This time of year just gets me excited! Can you tell that the summer is my favorite time of year?
There is ONE thing I love to do every summer (even when I lived in NYC, before I even had kids)… I fill my freezer with “summer” ice cream treats. Ice cream treats is truly a summer obsession of mine. It’s hot. It’s humid. You need a little something to cool you off at night! I’m not one of those chocolate sundae type girls… I love to have my freezer stocked with some delicious little treats throughout the summer months that I can enjoy from home. I go to Sam’s Club once a week throughout the summer and literally STOCK UP. With 4 little men, playdates, family over all the time and friends stopping by – we love to have some deliciousness on hand at all times. Nestle is my FAVORITE summer ice cream brand. Everything is individually wrapped. Everything is easy and convenient. And truly – there’s something for everyone. I (personally) cannot live without my go-to ice cream snack — The Original Drumstick. Oh. My. Goodness. It’s absolutely delectable! It’s funny, I remember loving Drumsticks as a very little girl, when it was the size of my hand! They really are one of my all-time-faves.
I’m also still loving Nestle’s The Skinny Cow. I’ve been “all over these babies” since January. They’re 97% fat free – but you wouldn’t have a clue! They are THAT good. The Ice Cream Sandwiches are a staple in our freezer for me and my husband (and sister when she’s over!). These really are the perfect snacks for (us) moms throughout the summer. You’re getting a delicious treat without the guilt! Any ice cream treat that doesn’t mess with bathing suit season is heavenly.
And… one of my personal favorites for my sons – Nestle Snack Size. This is Nestle’s NEW variety pack that includes 10 Lil’ Drums and 8 Dibs Snack Bags. I love this because my sons don’t always eat an adult sized portion, so this is a perfect size for them. This is what I would recommend for playdates throughout the summer, too!

YUM! I love the nestle bite sized ice creams for the kids too! They’re not nearly as messy as letting them eat a ice cream bar or a popsicle!

actually what i’m really thinking is, “look at that georgous family”! all those boys!!!! our first born is a boy, now a 28 year old man, (love my kids xo) and when he was born i told God, “if you’ll give me 11 more just like him i’ll have a dozen kids”! lol, well the next two are girls, now 26 and 21 (love, love my girls too)… so that’s what i’m thinking, and sure could use a new freezer!!! The Klondike Double Chocolate Bars have already made it in our household. I think that we really need the Skinny Cow Ice ceream Sandwiches & they look absolutely delish.

This is crazy–I am honestly eating an ice cream sandwich as I sit here online! Anyway, my husband and boys LOVE drumsticks, and when they were little, popsicles were great to give my kids on hot summer days when they were out playing in the sprinkler or the little kiddie pool. The mess would rinse right off in the water.

my kids love ice cream treats for summer time. I buy them those mini drumsticks, and I get the skinny cows for me and hubby. We occasionally eat the drumstick which is my favorite, except my weight doesnt care for it! lol
