A Day at the Beach

Some days are just meant to be perfect.
Yesterday, July 4th, 2010 was one such day. Kids and grandkids… all of them. Bonnet Shores. The beach. The sun. A colorful shade umbrella or two. Boogie boards. Pails and shovels. Warm, warm sand. A cool pool to be cool in. Snacks… lots of them. Outdoor grills. Burgers, ‘dogs and smores. A lively band playing every single 80′s hit wafting from the bar area. Tattoos. Hermit crabs. Beer, of course. A majestic sunset. A warm shower for the kids before heading home to bed.
And fireworks across the bay on the way home.
Simple blessings.
