The Boy Who Wishes For A Well

Every once-in-awhile, a small child reminds us of the true meaning of humanity… the true and most powerful meaning of giving, the true meaning of Christmas. One such child is Bridger, a 7-year old boy who has given up Christmas gifts in hopes of receiving donations to build a well. These are his Mom’s words:

Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation is the cause of
80% of all disease
and
kills more people than all forms of violence,
including war.

Meet Bridger.
He is my seven-year-old boy.
He is giving up gifts for Christmas
in hopes
of receiving donations to build a well.
He wants kids to live
and play.
Like he does.

He inspires me.

BB's clean water project

Yes, Bridger inspires me, too… right into my heart and soul Bridger inspires me. I have written this little verse for Bridger. My hope is that you will be as transformed by this extraordinary boy as I am… and help make his well wish come true by clicking his photo and giving whatever you can. Bridger gives new meaning to the words WISHING WELL.

The Boy Who Wishes For A Well

There is a boy who wishes for a well…
He imagines a magnificent water well.
One that takes neither tokens nor coins,
But gives extraordinary blessings and joys.

For in this well there is magic, you see,
The power and force and ability…
To bring clean water to children in need,
Children far less fortunate than he.

This extraordinary boy with his extraordinary wish,
A water well with its water gifts…
Has given up gifts this Christmas, indeed,
For his wish for his water well to succeed.

Bridger’s campaign goal is $5,000. He has raised $1,231. 100% of your donation directly funds clean water projects in developing nations, transforming the lives of children and people in desperate need. HOPE, along with water, springs from the wells, too.

Thank you, Bridger, for your great and powerful concern and inspiration, and for your most extraordinary Christmas message in BB’s Clean Water Project… !

I think it is an honor for anyone who is gifted with your writing. I hope everyone will reach deep and help Bridger reach his goal. He is an amazing little boy.
