Fun in the Sunshine State – Day 3

OK, so today Brian and I didn’t do much but sit by the pool and enjoy the GORGEOUS weather.

However, we did work out early in the morning, so we weren’t totally unproductive. Brian ran 6.5 miles and then I met him at the community aquatic center (which has an incredible Olympic-sized pool) and we swam laps together.

Then we spent most of the day alternating between sunbathing, taking a dip in the pool and walking on the beach… while making time for some lunch in the condo and getting a little work done.

I have been looking forward to this trip for months, especially with the snowy winter we had in New England. I just cannot get over what a pick-me-up this vacation is.

Here’s what I’m LOVING…

  • Sleeping with the windows open
  • Not having to wear a jacket
  • The smell of grass being cut
  • The grass being green!
  • Live music outdoors
  • Wearing flip-flops
  • Swimming outside
  • Tiki Bar!

I was really starting to feel the effects of Seasonal Affective Disorder (I’m serious!), so this trip is is just what I needed.

Sounds like just what the doctor ordered for both of you Jane! I moved to NC so that I could experience everything you are experiencing now, more often. Unfortunately, I take all of it for granted at times. Thanks for my reminder to get to the beautiful beach this week 😉 Hugs!
