I’ll never forget William’s first birthday. We were living in New York and our building had a common room that we rented. It had beautiful views of the New York skyline and was filled by our family and friends all ready to celebrate William’s big day! All he really cared about was the cake!

And then there was Alexander’s FIRST BIRTHDAY PHOTO. He had the flu that day… and he didn’t want to eat the cake. he wanted to play with it.

Every mother has a similar story, and THAT PICTURE too! You know, the cake picture! Maybe your child was the exception to the rule and used a fork and a napkin, mine was not. He dove in headfirst.

Tide Spotless Moments Photo Contest is looking for those pictures. They are asking parents to send in their messiest first birthday photos between now and April 11, 2011. There will then be a voting period to follow and the winning photo will receive a washer and dryer and a year’s supply of Tide Free & Gentle Laundry Detergent. Everyone who votes will also be eligible to win the same prize..
