I’m allergic to dust mites. Believe me, it’s not fun. It essentially means I need to dust and clean my house as much as possible… not always the easiest thing to do with 4 little boys, but it’s an essential.
My 4 sons don’t seem to be allergic to anything, yet. But I wasn’t diagnosed with my dust mite allergy until I was in 3rd or 4th grade, I remember being a little bit on the older side, so I know it can happen at anytime.
Fighting allergens in my home is something that me and my husband have to tag-team on. Our lives are so busy with the boys and work and various activities, that it’s too much for one person to take on alone, so we truly try our best to make it a dual partnership. Right, honey?
But when it comes to fighting allergens in our home, I don’t know all the answers, nor does my husband.
So… I was beyond happy to Lysol doing something to help parents out. They have been hosting an “Ask an Expert” series. No matter what the allergy triggers are in your home, it’s nice to know the best strategy for preventing symptoms and to try to avoid exposure to the allergens themselves. This is not only great for me, but for my boys. On Thursday, April 21st at 3pm EST, on the “Ask an Expert” series, you’ll be able to ask Dr. Laura Jana (nationally acclaimed pediatrician and mother of 3) any questions you have about allergens. I’m anxious for this because I haven’t seen any symptoms yet in my boys, and I’m curious about a few things in our home.
You can tune in right here! See below!
If you can’t make the video chat, you can still ask questions by going to the Lysol Facebook page and leaving your questions in advance (and getting a chance to win a gift card on Mom Generations for $50!) then tune in on your own time and watch Dr. Jana answer your questions or visit the Facebook page to share your own tips and learn what works for others!
GIVEAWAY:
If you post a question on Lysol’s Facebook page, let me know in my comments or tweet me @AudreyMcClellan and you will be entered to win a $50 AMEX Gift Card!

I posted a question for the chat on Lysol’s page, thanks.
Products that may have cross-contamination like chocolate and cookies etc…do you still have these in your home? Do you eliminate all cross-contamination things from your home or just keep them out of reach?
