Snakes at School – Fatherly Advice

So the other day was Family Fun Day at Alex and Benjamin’s school. It’s a day where the parents get to tour the school and the kids have a free day to run and play. Examples of the boy’s artwork is hung on the wall, and there’s a silent auction to raise money for the school.

The past three years they have had a bunch of reptiles on display that the kids could touch and hold. When mom’s round, we briefly shoot by this part, she doesn’t like snakes! Well this year she was in New York! Come on boys, we’re holding snakes.

What could go wrong? I had some fatherly advice to dispense because I didn’t want to call my wife to tell her someone got bit by a snake. But these snakes are docile right? I mean kids probably hold these snakes every day so they’re used to it right?

Fortunately the snake missed his face and he got right back in the saddle by holding a python.

Boys!

poor guy…..who knew that the snake would have an attitude:)

makes me think of a fable….don;t hold on to a snake because you don;t want to hurt its feelings…something like that:)
