HUDDLE to fight HUNGER with KRAFT Foods Giveaway

It’s FOOTBALL SEASON! Oh, yes… you can definitely tell when you drive past my house and see a gigantic Steelers man blowing in the wind! We’re a black and gold family in New England!

When football is here, you know what that means — tailgating season is here! My husband played college football, so he’s very into college and professional football… and he loves being able to take his boys to some games! It’s very nice for me to see. He’s sharing one of his passion’s with his sons.

And well… I LOVE what Kraft Foods is doing this football season, too. They are working to bring together everyone’s favorite fall themes – football and food – in an effort to help fight a worthy cause, hunger.

Kraft Foods recognizes hunger is a pressing issue in America today. In fact, and I didn’t know this at all, in 2010, 17.2 million households (one in seven) were living in hunger. That stat just breaks my heart.

Kraft kicked off their “Huddle To Fight Hunger,” campaign in 2010 and raised 21 million meals through the support of passionate football fans and community members. This year, Kraft Foods’ Huddle to Fight Hunger community is on a mission to donate the monetary equivalent of 25 million meals to Feeding America. Fans of the program can visit Facebook.com/KraftFightHunger to join in the fight against hunger while celebrating the sport and foods they love.

By “Liking” the Kraft Foods’ Huddle to Fight Hunger Facebook page and playing the interactive game “2-Minute Trivia Drill,” fans will be helping donate one meal to Feeding America. Each online meal donation will be put toward reaching the 2011 campaign goal of donating 25 million meals to the program! The game also encourages you to donate your meal directly to a local community food bank; all you have to do is enter your zip code.

To tie together the spirit of food and football season with the fight against hunger, Kraft is letting me host a Huddle to Fight Hunger Tailgate giveaway!

The Tailgate kit includes all the essentials you need to “kick-off” your football party the right way and is valued at $110. Tailgate kit includes:

· A Weber Smokey Mini Grill

· A Charcoal Companion 4- Piece Chef BBQ Tool Set

· A Coleman 3-in-1 outdoors blanket

· Hot off the presses: New cookbook by the Neelys

I’m from Tennessee and a Titans fan. Love the giveaway. Would love to actually one day go to A Titans football game, but as a single mom not in the budget, but love the Weber Grill and other items. Will provide a great way for someone to have their own tailgating party at home. Happy Holidays.

We camp a lot, so it would be awsome to win these items. I like participating in the mail carriers food giveaway which comes around once/twice per year.

I just find this and not sure how long the giveaway goes. It can be so easy to donate to food pantries. Using coupons is a great way to help make a difference.
