Our $500 Plum District Holiday Shopping Challenge

**See the bottom of this post for a running tally of gifts purchased, for whom, and how much money we’ve spent in our $500 Plum District Holiday Shopping Challenge!**

We’re very excited to announce a partnership we have going on with Plum District over the holidays: The Mom Generations $500 Plum District Challenge!

Each of us here at Mom Generations has a list of people we need to buy gifts for this season: our relatives (husbands, fiancés, children, nieces, nephews, parents, grandchildren, etc.), our friends, our dogs, our friends’ children, our children’s teachers, our business acquaintances, and all the other people we just like to thank around the holidays for the things they do for us.

Between the three of us, that’s a lot of people. And while we don’t want to skimp out on gifts, we also don’t want to spend so much money that we’ll be weeping at our credit card statements come January.

So that’s where our $500 Plum District Challenge comes in.

Designed “for Moms, by Moms”, Plum District is a daily deal site that offers deals moms truly love. The site focuses on 60 hyper-local districts in 26 cities, and offers national deals, as well.

“At Plum District, we always put mom first. We spark connections between moms and their community. And we believe it’s a mom’s world—a world where moms should indulge, explore, nest, nibble, play, and give. We’re the leading commerce platform designed to create word of mom.”

And Plum District has challenged us to see how many gifts we can purchase for family and friends on the site this holiday season!

$500 is a lot of money to play with as it is… but the best part is that Plum District’s community of moms sources deals from local and national merchants at prices 50% off or more each day. So we’re really going to be able to double our money with this challenge… and show you how each step of the way!

This is how it will work: this post you’re reading will serve as our “main” post for the challenge, which we will continue to update with a running tally of gifts purchased, for whom, and how much money we’ve spent.

We can’t wait to share the deals with you – literally! Each time we purchase an item we will post about it and include a giveaway for our readers!

That’s right – Plum District will give one of our readers a voucher for each item we buy. (Giveaway details will be included on each individual post.)

So, are you ready!? Let the shopping – and saving! – begin!
