In honor of today being my 11 year Wedding Anniversary, I thought I would have some fun with what to wear to a summer wedding. Most weddings are outside in the summer. What does that mean? They genuinely are outside due to the weather! Have you ever wondered What to Wear to an Outdoor Summer Wedding? It’s actually a question I get asked often, so I wanted to give you examples of some beautiful summer dresses to wear to a wedding that’s outside! Ready!?

What to Wear to an Outdoor Summer Wedding

Here’s the thing when it comes to summer weddings, you need to make sure you’re dressed for the day! Going into the wedding, you will know ahead of time if it’s indoors or outdoors. I personally had an outdoor wedding. I got married in a church, but I had my reception outside. I loved it because it was a beautiful way to be excited about the summertime fun and sun! I did have a ton of people email me before my wedding asking me What to Wear to an Outdoor Summer Wedding! It goes with the bride territory!

Let me dish with you on some of my fave options. I want you to keep in mind too that these options below are also great styles. If a color or pattern doesn’t call your name, use it as inspiration for one that does! Really take stock in what you have below and make an option work for you to the best of your ability. I love being able to give some fashion inspo, that’s what it’s all about ladies!

I’m all about 2 things during the summer when it comes to finding the perfect dress to wear to a summer wedding:

1. Color

2. And COLOR! 🙂

That’s right! If there’s ONE fashion rule when trying to decide what to wear to an outdoor summer wedding it’s color! You can’t wear white (obvi!), but you can have some fun with color! The bolder, the better! Go crazy and have some super fun! Go nuts and really enjoy what you can when it comes to celebrating some gorgeous styles! You can’t go wrong with a gorgeous color or print! My personal feeling? I feel like summer dresses should be bold, beautiful and FUN!
