Football Fashion: The POWER of a Steelers Shirt (in my house)

My husband is a GIGANTIC Steelers fan.

GIGANTIC.

He was born and bred in Pittsburgh and has loved the Steelers for (literally) 37 years.

I was born and bred (and still living) in New England. Except for a 6 year stint in NYC after graduation, where I was a Giants fan (a fleeting one) for a short amount of time, the red, white and blue of the Patriots has been in my heart for 34 years.

The Patriots just don’t “work” for my husband and 4 sons, who are also devout Steelers fans.

What’s a girl to do?

Well… after 14 years of trying to swim against the Steelers current with my husband, I’ve waved the white flag. I can be a Steelers AND Patriots fan, right? Especially for my husband and sons.

So… I surprised them and bought a Steelers shirt from Victoria’s Secret last week (that came in yesterday!).

I walked into the kitchen to show my husband and I don’t think he’s ever loved me more…

… jaw-to-ground and then smile from ear-to-ear!

No joke.

I could have asked my husband for anything in the world at that moment and he would have done it or gotten it.
