What makes grandsons keep coming back…

When Barry and I moved from a home with no place for grandkids to play to a home with a long, flat, wide basketball-perfect driveway… well, we knew we had ’em.

Before Barry and I began to unpack, we headed out to buy a height-adjustable portable backboard system for our 7 grandsons, ages 4, 4, 5, 7, 8, 8 and 10.  (Oh, we let the dads, uncles, Grandpa and ladies play, too!)

Yesterday, as I was unloading groceries from my car, I noticed this…

And this…

It made my heart sing like an on-the-buzzer 3-pointer to win the championship game that we could give this gift of memories to our grandsons…

Even in the frozen-knuckle grip of a New England winter.
