For the last few years for Easter we’ve traveled to Pittsburgh (from Rhode Island) to celebrate with my husband’s family. The trip is a LONG trek in the car for the boys… it’s about 10 hours… but once they’re there, they’re having a blast. My mother in law always has some Easter fun in the works for them, so they literally get 100% into Easter mode from the second we pull up to their house!

The one thing my sons LOVE to do is decorate Easter eggs. They have a BLAST creating egg-masterpieces, all trying to top each other and come up with the brightest or the boldest egg of all!

The funny thing is, after they’re done decorating, they’re little hands are ALL dyed, too! It’s so funny. When my Henry was about 3 years old, he was terrified that the green wouldn’t come off his hands and started to panic! I immediately showed him easy and quick the dye comes off… which made him feel so much better!

The other thing that’s an Easter tradition is getting chocolate in their Easter baskets. It’s the ONE time during the year where I will let them devour chocolate for breakfast and they LOVE it! The chocolate is ALWAYS Hershey chocolate, there’s just no doubt about it! 🙂
