I love what my friend Jessica Turner from The Mom Creative is doing with Throwback Thursday… she’s asking people to share the story behind the Throwback Thursday photos.

Every photo tells a story, but many times… we don’t know the true, real story behind a beautiful photo. There are all different kinds of stories – some happy, some sad, some meaningful, some powerful. There is power in sharing the story because it allows that photo to live in a completely different way.

Today I’m sharing a Throwback Thursday photo from April 2006.

I took the boys to get a photo with the Easter Bunny. Simple, right?

Well… there’s some good, some bad and some ugly behind this photo.

The good… this was a beautiful photo of the boys with the Easter Bunny. This was the very 1st time we had ever had an Easter Bunny photo taken. I actually love that William wasn’t looking at the camera, makes me laugh. My “little” man is now 9 years old!

The bad… I had just miscarried 3 weeks prior and I was just in a terrible state. I look at this photo and I smile now because I didn’t know what was to come… my Ben, my Henry and my Victoria. There was pain in my heart in this photo, but I tried to mask it by smiling big with my beautiful boys William and Alexander.

The ugly… I distinctly remember Alexander, the baby in the photo… pooping through that whole outfit about 2 minutes after this photo was taken. It was so bad, I had to throw out that outfit and buy him a new one!
