Last week I was invited to attend an event at Swarovski North America Headquarters with some fellow Rhode Island bloggers. I’m a huge fan of Swarovski jewelry (sparkles, anyone?), I love getting together with my local blogging ladies, and Swarovski’s headquarters are a little over 30 minutes from my house. A win-win-win! Of course I attended.

The reason for the blogger gathering was to introduce us to Swarovski’s fast-growing direct selling brand, Touchstone Crystal. To be honest, I had never heard of Touchstone Crystal and had no idea that Swarovski had a direct selling line. So I was eager to see how it stacked up to the gorgeous jewelry Swarovski is known for.

The verdict? It is absolutely stunning.

The other bloggers and I had a chance to peruse the gorgeous Fall/Winter Collection while we learned about Touchstone Crystal. It is a fairly new line; after doing some rebranding on an earlier concept, Touchstone Crystal as it is known today was launched in 2011. There are approximately 1,000 consultants (known as Glambassadors) in the United States, but that number is growing.

I was really impressed by the quality of the jewelry. It is extremely well-made (which didn’t surprise me – this is a Swarovski brand, after all), and it’s diverse in that I can see the pieces being worn by everyone, from young ladies to older. I saw a pair of earrings that I knew my 13-year-old niece would love, and there were a few bracelets that I could picture on my stylish grandma’s wrist. And even better? It’s affordable. Fifty percent of the line is under $50.
