You know it’s cold when…

Even I’m not craving ICE CREAM!

Believe me… it MUST BE COLD.

Day #16 – Fashion Advice for Moms…

Skirts.

Sometimes we run away from them. But really, we all should have one. Or two. Or three.

There’s always the question — what is the most flattering type of skirt to own?

Now… coming from me. All 5 feet of me. I can answer that question (not only from experience) very easily.

The Pencil Skirt.

Why a Pencil Skirt? Well…

The reason it is actually called a pencil skirt is because it’s straight. It doesn’t flair out. It goes straight down, skimming your body. Regardless of size.

And let’s face it…

It’s all about the fit.

The pencil skirt should sit right at your waist very comfortably. It shouldn’t bunch. And it should lay neatly right over your hips. The absolute best length for a pencil skirt is right above the knee.

The pencil skirt gives a great look and is extremely slimming.

As far as which colors to have this in? Your basic black, brown or navy blue.

Easy to match with pieces. Easy to wear.

I LOVE my black pencil skirt — I can dress it up for work or more casual and sexy for a night out. Great pick — slimming on everyone!

An an A -Line skirt is just as flattering.

I am partial to the pencil skirt. It takes a little confidence to wear one if you’re used to a-lines and flares… bit the pencil is a bit sexy!

I agree with the scarves. I love them and wish I were a bit bolder with wearing them.

I respectfully disagree with this pencil skirt tip. I’m a petite five one and a half, but I have big hips. Good for having babies. Not good for pencil skirts. A-line works much better.

I love the pencil skirt. No other style works for me, but the pencil skirt is divine.
