I don’t want to box myself into a corner here as the genitalia police with some sort of, well, vagenda… but I have a couple of questions regarding women’s locker room etiquette:
1. Is it necessary to flash the fur like it’s some sort of priceless mini mink?
2. Do you think I actually want to see your personal little carnivore?

Let me explain. I know what one looks like. I have my own. Therefore, your species mollusca presents nothing new to me. But for behavior, habitat and feeding, one cute little cuttlefish is as un-unique as another. The difference, I think, lies in the brain of the beholder.
And this brain chooses to keep my sea silk cloaked.
Now, this is not to say that I am prudish or uncomfortable with nudity. I am not. I find nudity quite useful… actually. I just do not have a need to view ginas up close and personal while tying my running shoes or zipping my gym bag.
OK. ‘Nuff said.

I can’t stop laughing… but I agree with you wholeheartedly! Some people just seem to let their inner exibitionist run free at the gym.
Hilarious and SO true. I am totally that person at the gym that does my best to not show my goods to the world, and as such, I am inevitably stuck next to someone who prefers to walk around completely naked.

Can you believe I’ve never stepped foot into a locker room? So, I don’t have the experience of ‘the fur’ in my face, like you. It would get old quick, I’m sure.

It doesn’t bother me at all if other ladies want to walk around in the nude, but I’m not comfortable doing so myself. In Junior High and High School we didn’t have any choice however, we had to bare all in those group showers after gym class.
This reminds me of a camping trip that I went on with my best girlfriends family when I was around 13 years old.
The campground had two different shower facilities, one had private showers with stalls and locking doors, the other was one of those wide open group showers. After something like 9 or 10 at night the campground would close the shower facilities that had the shower stalls, but they would keep the other one with the group showers open all night because it was right next to the check-in building and they could make sure that no one would vandalize it.
On our second night at the campground I was in a hurry to get back to the campground from the amusement park that we were at because I had not had a chance to shower the night before, and I definitely did not want to go two days in a row without a shower, and I wanted to be able to use the facilities with the private shower stalls before they closed the building for the night.
My friends mother, not knowing that I was a little shy, told me that there wasn’t any hurry because there was the other facilities near the entrance of the campground. So we got back too late to be able to use the private showers.
So when we got back to the campground my friends mother told us that we were going to drive over to the other shower facilities to take a shower.
When we walked into the female locker-room/shower-room it was wall-to-wall naked women in there.
And to make things even more awkward, as it turned out, my friends mother was a virtual (not literally) nudist. To her credit, she was a very beautiful woman with a fantastic body, were talking a Jennifer Aniston type body. So it wasn’t a horrible thing to see. But I couldn’t believe how comfortable she was while not only showering in front of like 30 other people, but also with walking around naked, blowdrying her hair naked, having naked conversations with her daughter, myself, and strangers.
She’d be standing there 100% in the buff asking her daughter and I how we liked the Demon-Drop at the park, or asking a stranger if there were any attractions in the area outside of the amusement park. I also couldn’t believe how comfortable so many of the other women were standing there carrying on a conversation with her while she was 100% buck naked.
Like I said, this day and age it doesn’t bother me in the slightest if other ladies want to walk around naked or even strike up a conversation with me while their naked. But I can’t bring myself to join in on that.

This reminds me of the Rehoboth Beach state parks in the 1980s. My friend’s mom would drive a few of us to the park for a day trip and take us to the boardwalk in the evening. But, the bath house had the gang showers (two polls each with 4 shower heads). I was like Cindy, but after seeing a bunch of naked moms and daughters around the shower, plus my friend and her mom getting naked and waiting in line for a shower; I got naked too to take my shower. But even worse was trying to use lukewarm water to wash the sunscreen off. Didn’t work to well.

I know that your generation always showered after gym classes. Does that make it any easier as an adult to be nude in a health club locker room? I would think that it would make it easier?
