Every year for the Holidays my mother gives each “family” monogrammed pajamas. This tradition started long before Matt and I were even married… each Christmas, we all receive a pair of (usually) matching pajamas that say our name and the year…

My mother has not let 4 grown children (all with significant others)… and 9 grandchildren stop her!

Here is my brood this morning (this year was the year of the Polar Bear – each year it’s something…)

And she didn’t forget “Mommy” and “Daddy”…

I love the fashion of it… it’s “wear” that we will actually use over and over (and over!) again. Not to mention… it’s one of those special traditions that I will keep passing on to the boys (and my own grandchildren!) someday. It’s adorable to see the kids come to my mom’s house and get all excited over the matching pajamas.

I’ve seen the name go from “Audrey” to “Mommy” over the years – and I have saved every single pair of pajamas from the boys. I have William’s 1st pair from when he was 3 months old… it’s these fashion-able traditions that truly leave a mark… and footprints.

I wanted to pass this fabulous-fashion tradition on today… it’s never too late to start!
