Jennifer Garner and Frigidaire Support Save the Children

Yesterday I headed to NYC with my sons and my mother to join Jennifer Garner, Frigidaire and the head of Save the Children, Mark Shriver, to help pack healthy food for kids in need.

The goal was to pack 900 snack-packs for kids in need in Kentucky.  I wasn’t sure we were going to be able to hit the goal in an hour… but then I saw the passion, drive and camaraderie of the kids, parents, Jennifer, Mark and Frigidaire team…

I loved having my sons (first-hand) learn about the important work of Save the Children. William (my oldest son) kept asking questions all night about Save the Children – “Where do they find the kids, mom?”, “How do some kids not have food?”, “Is there anything else we can do?” These are questions that I was happy to have him ask me… and I really saw the wheels start to turn in his head.

It was an incredible day… just amazing on all levels. I felt honored to be there helping out and doing my part with my family and friends.

And… I got to wake up this morning to this photo in the NYPost.com!

So how can you HELP!? Starting today, when people visit www.Frigidaire.com and join the Make Time for Snack Time campaign, Frigidaire will donate $1 to Save the Children’s U.S. Programs.

William’s question,”is there anything else we can do?” is very touching and says a lot about him, and you! The photos are wonderful, especially the one with you, your mother and your boys. It is a fantastic cause and what a great learning experience for your kids.
