How to Dress for Thanksgiving

How to Dress for Thanksgiving… oh, yes… there’s a technique (at least for me).

I spend Thanksgiving every year at my in-laws house in Pittsburgh, PA. My mother-in-law spends weeks preparing for this feast. Yes… weeks. She plans her menu. She plans her shopping trips to the grocery store. She makes sure every single person at the table has something that they absolutely love to eat. She makes a big and delicious meal. And then she makes about a zillion desserts. I wish I was exaggerating!

This year will not be any different. There will be tons of food.

When I first started heading to my husband’s house for Thanksgiving (way before we were even married), I would try to pick out the perfect outfit for the holiday. I remember one year I wore a tight-fitted sheath dress. One year I wore leggings with a dress over them. One year I wore a skirt with a silk blouse. I always, always, always wanted to be dressed up. Problem was… after every meal, I felt like I was going to burst open because I was so full. I felt so uncomfortable in my clothes, it was awful.

Well… I eventually got smart (and married and became a mom 4 times over!). Oh, yes. And I realized that it’s (very) possible to still look good and feel good… on Thanksgiving!

Here are 5 great outfits to keep you chic and comfortable! (Secret is keeping the stomach covered!)

I love the top cardigan. Please can you say where the items are from and how much they are?
