2011 Color of the Year

2011 Color of the Year has been ANNOUNCED!

Each year Pantone reveals the COLOR of the year… there’s always something special about why they’ve chosen this color and what it will bring to 2011!

This year it’s all about the HONEYSUCKLE!

Why Honeysuckle?

Well… according to Pantone –
Courageous. Confident. Vital. A brave new color, for a brave new world. Let the bold spirit of Honeysuckle infuse you, lift you and carry you through the year. It’s a color for every day – with nothing “everyday” about it. Honeysuckle emboldens us to face everyday troubles with verve and vigor. A dynamic reddish pink, Honeysuckle is encouraging and uplifting. It elevates our psyche beyond escape, instilling the confidence, courage and spirit to meet the exhaustive challenges that have become part of everyday life.

I love this color… it’s very uplifting and makes you SMILE!

Bring some Honeysuckle…

Not only is Honeysuckle a beautiful and inspiring color (which I LOVE) but it’s also a refreshing ingredient included in the Degree Women Natureffects Collection</strong>. The collection includes Honeysuckle + Tea Tree Oil, a matching anti-perspirant/deodorant and body mist pair, that lets you infuse a touch of nature into your daily routine.

Honeysuckle has been “sneaking” around in the dressy dress world of special occasion for a bit. We have seen hints of it on the red carpet last award season and, hopefully, finally it has arrived on the fashion scene. To my eye, it is feminie and strong all at the same time…similar to turquoise over the last couple of years. For confirmation of Pantone prediction, check out the upcoming award shows…designers sometime take their forward cue from Pantone.
