Last year I met one of the coolest and chicest ladies ever… Rosanna Sinel! We met for drinks one night in Providence and like 2 peas on a pod, we hit it off immediately. Sort of hit it off like “we had to have known each other in a past life or something” because it’s like we had known each other since childhood!
She invited me to attend StyleWeek Providence this past June and I was mesmerized. I was mesmerized for not only what Rosanna was doing for our city of Providence, but for designers. It was incredible.
And so… much to the demand of Providence, designers and fans… StyleWeek Providence is BACK!
StyleWeek Providence will now be a bi-annual event allowing designers to debut their seasonal collections in June and January-closely echoing the industry standard. The weeklong celebration of fashion, art, design, and culture features formal industry specific runway shows along with a Buyer Showroom to introduce the designers and their lines to potential buyers. In addition, After-Event Soirees and Accessory Showcases are open to the public in order to engage and excite the community.
StyleWeek Providence begins TONIGHT and will go through Saturday, January 22, 2011.

It’s wonderful seeing my own city of Providence do such amazing things for fashion and to help promote designers and artists.
The priorities of StyleWeek Providence are commerce, economic development, and growth through art culture and fashion. In addition to highlighting the talented designers and artists of the world, StyleWeek Providence prides itself on incorporating and advancing local businesses and services such as hotels, restaurants, nightlife, salons, and boutiques by working with the community to create the “talk of the town” event known as StyleWeek Providence. This focus helps to generate revenue and expand brand and company awareness for local vendors, designers, partners, and supporting sponsors by drawing people and recognition to the artistic and cultural destination of Providence.
