Each week throughout 2011 I will share how I am giving back somehow, whether it’s by offering my resources, my time, my talents or my support.
Giving back doesn’t have to be on a grand scale. And doesn’t have to be about money.
Oftentimes charities, organizations, causes and foundations need support beyond donations. And that’s what I’m going to try to focus on.
I will be sharing what I’m doing each week; perhaps you, too, will be inspired to give back.
Together we can make a difference.

52 Weeks of Giving: Weeks 6 & 7
I missed writing about my giving project for Week 6, so I’m combining Weeks 6 and 7 here.
**
For my Week 6 “give,” I got some comforters together to donate to the Providence Animal Rescue League.
It has been a cold, snowy winter here in Rhode Island, and the organization made comforters its Wish List Item for February.

For Week 7, I took part in Mommin’ It Up’s GimmE Five fundraiser to support their friend E, whose family will incur out-of-pocket expenses as she receives treatment for ovarian cancer. (Over $2,000 was raised in just one day!)
We really appreciate your support, Jane.
I love checking in on your giving posts Jane – you inspire me and I love finding out about new causes and ideas to give. You Hug Big! 😉
