Miracle-Gro

March has come in like a lion and is trying to leave like a lamb, and April showers soon will be bringing May flowers.  We’re really excited about the flowers this year!  Our neighbor took down a huge old Oak Tree last fall and it has flooded our back yard with sun.  For the first time since we’ve lived here, we finally have enough sun to make a garden.  There’s a great deal of work to be done still, but my husband and I are excited, and want to get our sons excited about getting outside and getting dirty in the garden.

We’re starting each of our boys off with a Miracle-Gro Kids Mini Greenhouse right now.  Because the weather is still cold at times, they’re starting their seeds inside.  The Miracle-Gro Mini Greenhouse comes with a greenhouse base and dome, Gro-Mix and seeds, everything you need to get started.  The Gro-Mix expands when you add water, and the seeds sprout in no time, protected and warm in the Mini Greenhouse.

In addition to its complete simplicity, it’s a great way to introduce the boys to gardening.  Every day they get excited to hop up on the counter to check the progress of their plants.  We’ve picked out spots to transplant them outside once they’re a little bigger and the weather is a little warmer.  Not to mention the Miracle-Gro Mini Greenhouse costs around a dollar.  That’s hard to beat for something that keeps your kids interested for weeks.

Miracle-Gro Kids come in both flower and vegetable varieties and several different configurations for younger or older gardeners.  There’s the 3in1 Gardening Set that is a great tabletop display for a young gardener, ModPots that is a modular re-arrangable garden, the Terrarium for your budding horticulturist, the Greenhouse for the year-round enthusiast and the Grow-A-Plant a perfect planter for the classic gardener.
