Today is my Benjamin’s 4th birthday… I cannot believe he’s 4 years old today. He’s a BIG boy.

When William was 16 months old, and Alexander 4 months old, I found out I was pregnant. It was mid-February, 2006. I remember being shocked by the news of my pregnancy… shocked, surprised and very, very excited. Another baby! We were ecstatic, the planning began… we were going to have 3 kids. Sadly, I miscarried that baby towards the end of March. It was devastating to me, truly devastating. I knew I needed to try for another baby… I felt it from my head to my toes. I remember praying to the “baby to be” and hoping that he or she would come QUICKLY!

In July, we got the blessed news that we were expecting a baby to be due in April!

After 38 long weeks… Benjamin was born at 7:01AM on April 4, 2007. I remember thinking I should play the numbers 4 and 7 that day!

The second they placed Ben in my arms, he was my Baby-Angel… and honestly, the name has stuck. Matt jokes with me that he’s going to be this 7 foot Linebacker called “Baby Angel”… but that’s who he always will be to me.

But my Ben… where do I begin? He’s one of my reason’s for being…

And then my little baby… began to turn into a little boy…

And continues to make us laugh every single day…

So to my Boo-gie today…
