I hope everyone had a Happy 4th of July weekend!

There aren’t many times right now in my life where I get the chance to hang out with my ENTIRE family. Usually someone has to be somewhere else, and truth be told, lately that person’s been me. There’s nothing I cherish more than family… and I will say, I’ve been very blessed in this lifetime with an extraordinary family. My mom and my dad are the rocks and the foundation of it all, and they have raised 4 children, who have all gone and started their own families.

My mother hosted a spectacular 4th of July BBQ yesterday in Bristol, RI. She invited family and tons of friends to come share the day with her and my father at my sister’s apartment right on Hope Street. The beauty of this location is that we’re right on the parade route… and everyone had front row seats to one of the most spectacular parade’s in the country. And as soon as the parade was over, it was time to truly PARTY with the kids!

We all had the chance to eat lunch, laugh and giggle, play games, have a water fight and eat desserts!

But it was the DESSERT that left smiles on everyone’s faces… my mom had Reddi-wip featured with every dessert!

As a matter of fact, much to the love and delight of my sons, nieces and nephews… the main ingredient for dessert was Reddi-wip, everything else was secondary! LOL… I loved it, too. One of the dessert options was a Reddi-wip bar set up with all different kinds of sides – strawberries, blueberries, chocolate sauce, sprinkles, M&Ms, etc… it was fun seeing the different kinds of combinations everyone was making. I was pretty basic – strawberries and whipped cream, my FAVORITE!

The BBQ was just amazing, it was a day that I won’t forget for a long time because it was all about having fun with family and friends.
