Got Milk? I do.

When I was a little girl, I loved milk. And really, I’ve continued to drink milk throughout my whole life. There’s nothing like sitting down with a plate of warm cookies with a cold glass of milk or adding milk to my morning coffee or latte.

It’s just the way it is for me.

But my sons…

They love milk. Let me stress the LOVE.

I mean, like… I’m going to write it again, but bold it and capitalize it for effect. My sons LOVE LOVE LOVE milk.

Nobody truly believes me when I say that we go through a gallon of milk a day… easily.  I will literally open a gallon and the next thing I know, it’s empty. And now that 2 of my sons are old enough to actually pull the milk carton out of the fridge and pour their own, it’s gone even quicker!

Milk. It does a body good. And my sons certainly are living up to that milk statement.

Let me show you an average morning…

Milk for breakfast as a drink for the boys.
Milk in their cereal.
Milk in my coffee or latte (depending upon the day).
Milk for lunch as a drink for the boys.
Milk for dinner as a drink for the boys.
Milk in my cereal at night for a quick and easy snack.

It’s part of our routine.

My husband jokes that we literally need to buy a cow for the McClelland household.

So… it only makes perfect sense that Got Milk? has reached out to me to work with them again at BlogHer as one of their Milk Advocates! I’m super excited and thrilled upon thrilled about this because it’s such a great fit for me. I’ve been talking about the benefits of milk for me and my family for years now on my blog and IRL. I’ll be working with the iconic Milk Mustache campaign while at BlogHer 2011 in San Diego with my book The Digital Mom Handbook.

Watch for Milk’s Thanks-A-Latte program at BlogHer! Make your mornings more nutritious by making a latte at home with lowfat or fat free milk for an easy nine-nutrient boost. Find great-tasting recipes, chances to win latte prizes and more at Facebook.com/MilkMustache or whymilk.com.

*Disclosure: Got Milk? is sponsoring a breakfast for The Digital Mom Handbook and working with us on their newest Thanks-A-Latte program.
