Well… she’s almost here.

I haven’t been in a hurricane since I was about 12 years old, so this is HUGE in Rhode Island.  We’ve had tons and tons of warnings and watches throughout the last 20 years, but nothing (I mean, nothing) this severe.  We’re trying to get prepared as best as we possibly can.  We have our checklist:

– Water

– Batteries (Thank you, Rayovac!)

– Flashlights

– Canned goods

– Bread/Peanut Butter/Jelly/Cookies, etc

– Games (like REAL games, not any techy thing!)

Today was really the first day I was like… OMG, this “thing” is coming…

I want to wish everyone who will be effected by Irene safe wishes and know I’m thinking about you. We’re as prepared here as we can be!
