Date Night – A Do or a Don’t?

When Matt and I first started dating, we had the most awesome courtship of all! We would go everywhere – day trips to NYC, dinners, meet up for breakfast, movies, late night drink at a local bar, walks around campus, coffee meet-up, shopping trips, etc. We both could always come up with something that we hadn’t done before, and it was always fun and always exciting.

Then we had kids. 🙂

Believe me, I’m not saying it’s a bad thing that we don’t have the time or the capacity to do our dates anymore, it’s just that you do miss it a little.

So tell me – Date night in your marriage or relationship… a do or a don’t? (Tell me I’m not alone!)

Ideally, I would LOVE a weekly “out of the house” date night, but our schedules and babysitter availability doesn’t allow for that.

So, we have weekly “in home” date nights after we put the kids down on Saturday nights. Then, once a month we go on “out of the house” date nights. I NEED that time!
