Boys’ Bedrooms: Sleep Tips from the iComfort Sleep System by Serta

For Christmas we’re re-decorating the boys’ bedrooms.

We haven’t touched their rooms since 2006.

They’ve had the same paint.

They’ve had the same curtains.

They’ve had the same color bedding — always blue or black.

They’re rooms have really no personalization, and that makes me sad.

I want their rooms to be like an oasis. When they go in at night, they feel relaxed and ready for a good night’s sleep… but I also want them to feel like their room is their “own.” I kind of always feel like they just see their room as the place where they sleep, not a place where they can veg out during the day and play and read and just hang out.

We took a HUGE step this past spring in partnering with Serta Matresses… each of the boy’s got their very own Serta Perfect Sleeper. Their sleep patterns changed dramatically. All of a sudden, they were actually staying in their rooms all night. All of a sudden, they were ASKING to go to sleep because they were tired.

Now that we have the perfect mattress, I want to match the room with the perfect decor and bedding. I want their room to be a relaxing place to create a wonderful environment for them.

So far… we’ve got 4 things covered (and this will ALL be a surprise from Santa!):

1) NEW Blue paint…

2) Capel Spiral Rectangle Rug…

3) NEW Bedding for each of the boys…

4) Monogrammed Light for rooms…

I’ve gotten such inspiration from looking around and so thankful for Serta kicking off this bedroom decor project for me!

It was time.

And it was SO needed.
