How fitting that Thankful Thursday falls on Thanksgiving this week. 🙂 I have so much to be thankful for, not only today, but every day. But these are the things that stick out in particular on this special holiday…
- My husband Brian, who peeled, cored and sliced the apples for my apple crisp, then washed all the dishes and cleaned the house while I was at the gym this morning
- My gym, for holding an early spin class this morning. This allowed me to get a great workout in so I could indulge later and feel a little less guilty
- My parents, for keeping our oldest doggy, Ryder, at their house while we traveled to Maine with our other two dogs, Tansy and Jethro. Brian and I just wanted Ryder to have a nice, relaxing Thanksgiving, and that’s exactly what she got at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. To illustrate, here is a picture of Ryder my Mom sent me today:
- Great traveling companions in our dogs. While Ryder enjoyed her time at my parents’ house, Tansy and Jethro slept the entire 3-hour drive
- A delicious Thanksgiving meal with my new in-law family in Maine. And for them having a sense of humor about my apple crisp catching fire in their oven (just a small fire that was put out right away… but the house smelled like smoke for awhile after)
I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving and that you feasted on lots of yummy holiday favorites!
We missed you all but happy that you had a great day in Maine!
