Velcro Curlers are probably the easiest way to have gorgeous, wavy, bombshell hair! Are you ready for these? Beauty Love: Why I am OBSESSED with Velcro Curlers. I’m all about rocking my velcro curlers with every single chance that I get! They might not look the prettiest, but I’ll tell you what – they produce pretty hair and that’s all that matters!! I’m ready to rock some gorgeous hair all the time, especially while pregnant! Velcro Curlers really make me feel pretty when I’m out and about and that’s a big thing for me right now!
Velcro Curlers: Why I am OBSESSED
When I’m doing my OWN hair, I usually with wear it 1 of 4 ways:
1) Straight – It’s easy as can be
2) Up – Even easier than can be
3) Wavy – I’m trying to teach myself how to wave it
4) Volume hair – It’s all about big hair! As big as can be!!!!
Wearing it straight, popping it up or wearing it wavy doesn’t take me much time. I use my straighter or my curling wand to achieve the look I want. Literally done in 15 minutes. When it comes to adding volume and having “sexy” hair (what I like to call it), it takes a little extra time. Not so much extra time to actually do it, but extra time to let it set. I’m going to be totally honest with you right now.
I have a process. And this process can’t be deviated. It’s a set one and I stick with it always.
I wash and dry my hair. Easy, right? Anyone can do this step! I don’t even use a certain shampoo or conditioner! I use whatever is in the shower and make sure it smells good! That’s pretty much my only requirement!
And then I take my velcro curlers and literally put them ALL around my head. I spray each section before I roll it, but when they’re ALL done. I use about 100 bobby pins and really just make sure every single piece of my hair is up and out of my face. I don’t want any piece down. I like to see them all up and attached to the curlers. I’m not the prettiest sight in the world, believe me!! I look like this once they’re all in my hair!
I let the Velcro curlers set for about an hour and then I pull them all out. In the meantime I do keep spraying because it’s important to make sure my hair stays in them!! Once I start taking them out, I make sure to let them just sit there while I go around my entire head. My hair looks a little outlandish as they all come up, but that’s OK! That’s how I know I’m doing it right!!
Once I’m done taking them all out of my hair, I flip my head upside down and spray even more hairspray! Yes – you heard that right! And then I brush it out and make sure everything is smooth! I love having big hair with volume! It’s so easy to do on my own and it comes out really gorgeous! I’m so pregnant right now, so for me – this is the easiest way to rock bombshell hair!
