Our Family New Year “Blessings” Feast

Hosting a New Year’s Day “Blessings” Feast…

Each New Year’s Day, Barry and I host a New Year Blessings Feast for our family.  We love this fun tradition because our 9 grandkids look forward to all the fun foods that bring gook luck, abundance, prosperity and great health to each New Year.

Our Unbroken Noodles, Round Cake with a Coin and Pink Pig Cookies are favorites for the kids.  Our children love our Roast Pork, Stuffed Peppers with Rice, Lentil Soup, Black-eye Peas, Kale & Collard Greens, Scrod and lots of fruits.

I decorate our home with lots of bells and supply our visitors with hats, horns and tiaras. Barry and I spend each New Year’s Eve cookin’ up a storm… loving every minute of it.  This is the calm before our happy, Happy New Year storm of lots and lots of noise.  And feasting.  And love!

Pop-up doing what he loves best for his family!

Noisemakers that belonged to my late Mom and Dad-in-Law…

Bring on the NOISE!

Bring on the LOVE!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013!
