Audrey’s Notes from Fall 2013 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: BCBG Max Azria

When I first moved to NYC, I would save all my money, head to Century 21 and scour the racks for BCBG, I just LOVED it!

It’s always fascinating for me to hear what a designer’s inspiration was for a Collection… for BCBG Max Azria Fall 2013, it’s all about… Istanbul and Phil Frost’s gritty contemporary art.

There were X trends that jumped out for me…

1. Black/White influences throughout

2. Lots of silky long slips

3. Layered look is in full effect

4. Street smart with biker jackets, leather and fur

My feelings on BCBG Max Azria…

I found it to be very boho-ish, which is a trend and a look I DEVOUR and LOVE. I love the long silk slips, I just think they are precious and sweet. The mix of leather and fur within the collection gave it a very urban feel, which was ultra-cool. I don’t know how I’d necessarily look pulling off some of these outfits, but I would take pieces and wear as separates. Overall, gorgeous!
