10 April Fool’s Day Pranks to Play on your Kids
Can you hear my devious laugh… HE HE HE… !
April Fool’s Day.
I have to admit, I don’t go crazy with the kids on April Fool’s Day. I should, but I don’t.
This morning William came downstairs and said to me, “Mom… I’m so sorry. I peed my bed last night.” Immediately I got irritated and said, “William! Are you kidding me!?” To which he responded with a smile and a “April Fool’s!” Yup, he got me. He got me good.
There are definitely fun ways to get your kids on April Fool’s Day.
You can be as sneaky and as devious as you want… but I thought it would be fun this morning to give a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing!
1) Mix up all the clothing in their drawers.
2) Sprinkle salt on their toothbrushes (just a teeny bit will do the trick!).
3) Tell them they got in the mail a jury summons.
4) Pretend the power went out when they get home from school – no TV, no computer, no games for the rest of the day.
5) Pick them up from school and tell them they have a doctor’s appointment.
6) Tell them school has been cancelled tomorrow.
7) Pretend they have school on Saturday to make up for a day they had off this year.
8) If a certain sport is over right now, pretend there’s a last minute practice they need to be at. Even go so far as to put athletic bags in the car!
9) Dye your milk a green or a blue or a yellow and ask them to pour milk for everyone.
10) Turn the frames in the house, the food in the cabinets and the toys upside down.
