Thankful Thursday

It has been a good week, with much to be thankful for, so I figured I’d compile everything in a Thankful Thursday post. Here’s what I’m particularly thankful for this week:

  • That my entire family lives close by so we can get together often, like we did this week to celebrate my Dad’s birthday.
  • My Dad, who is the epitome of what a husband, father and grandfather should be – loving, kind, generous, fair and fun.

  • A great night out with old friends last weekend – lots of laughs, an amazing view and delicious food.
  • For the excitement in my town about the 4th of July. Starting this week, the pre-4th festivities begin, and it’s just a really special time. It’s fun to see people starting to decorate their homes with flags and other red, white and blue things, as we anticipate the big parade (which is the oldest continuously-running 4th of July parade in the country!).
  • Having friends who are amazing writers, who can make me both think and cry with laughter in the same post, and who make me aspire to be a better writer. I’m talking about you, Sarah.

What are you thankful for this week?

Your dad reminds me so much of my dad. My sister lived in Bristol when she went to Roger Williams and my mom and I slept over for the parade, talk about madness.
