All is right in the world when…

I’m a worrier.

I don’t talk about it too much on my blog because it’s one of those things you don’t necessarily like to “label” yourself as… publicly.

But I am.

I worry about EVERYTHING.

I worry about normal things that all moms worry about – the health of my babies, the health of me and my husband, the health of my parents and in-laws, etc.

But I also worry about everything else. I mean, like everything else. I worry about things I don’t have control over and sometimes, it can get to be overwhelming. Fortunately, I’m able to bring myself down and not get too overwhelmed by things. And for the record, I’ve been like this my whole entire life. LOL… seriously. I used to worry about my little sister at recess when we were in elementary school together because I couldn’t find her quick enough. That was me. Always that big sister. Always that mom figure, looking out for the ones I love.

As I’ve gotten older… I’ve realized more and more that it’s the moments when you can look at your life and say, “All is right in the world” and embrace them. It’s these moments that make life worth living and loving.

Today… as we’re about to celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow, and we’re thinking about all the things in the world we’re grateful for, I’m thinking about the “All is right in the world” moments right now.

The biggies…

— All my babies are with me and healthy.

— My husband is healthy.

— I’m healthy.

And for the moments…

— My sons all got haircuts! (Thank you Auntie Mindy)

— The way my daughter looks at me and then just smiles big and bright.

— The snow all over the ground, it looks so peaceful and beautiful.

— Laughing with my best friend today.

— Texting with my mother.

— My sons playing with their sister.

— Enjoying a delicious cup of coffee.

— Reading Facebook updates that make me smile.

— A WARM shower.

— Relaxing and resting with my family while we’re away for the holiday.

It’s these moments that make me feel like “All is right in the world…”

It’s these moments when I don’t even think about worrying!
