In January my hairstylist Leah (who also happens to be a really good friend) convinced me to chop off 6 inches because my hair desperately needed it. My hair was so dry and damaged and it just needed a total change and overhaul. I also decided to stop doing straight foils to my hair (because my hair is so gray now, I needed a little extra help!). I started doing a color treatment, a beautiful soft brown… and then Leah goes in and does blonde foils from there. I had never done a straight color process to my head before, just the foils – so this was all new for me.

I have to say, I have loved the color of my hair over the last 3 months. It’s darker for me, but it’s been a cool and fun difference to play around with throughout the winter and spring.

But… oh, yes. There’s always a but… now that the summer is almost here, I want to go blonde. Not just a little blonde, like a lotta blonde! For the last 5 summers, I have literally just gone completely blonde from root to tip. This summer I want to change it up a bit. I want to go blonde, but I want to make it not as IN YOUR FACE BLONDE. I have been scouring Pinterest for some different styles and colors and I found 5 that I love and will be showing to Leah! 🙂
