Dear Baby Brian,

Today you are 4 months old, and my sweet little man, you are such a joy. I love watching you grow and I am in awe of you every day. I simply cannot get enough of you.

I’ve become quite adept at performing tasks one-handed because you love to be held. But I don’t mind at all because, truth be told, I love holding you.

Daddy says I have the magic touch when it comes to getting you to go to sleep. You love when I hold you close and rock you from side to side, my face close to yours. Then, when you’re off in dreamland, I just stare at you, touch your soft little face and kiss your beautiful long eyelashes.

You love putting things in your mouth, especially your hands and your bibs. You’ve just started to master putting your binky back in your mouth after you’ve pulled it out.

You love to smile and laugh, and you get a kick out of me singing to you while I clap your hands.

It’s almost summertime and I can’t wait to bring you swimming because you LOVE the water. You kick like crazy when I’m giving you a bath, and it reminds me of all the kicking you did when you were growing inside of me.
