I’m so excited to share with everyone that I’m working with Capital One as one of their influencers throughout the summer. With so many families traveling right now, it’s a great time of year to redeem credit card travel rewards for your summer trip. We’re going to be heading to many places this summer for some family getaways, and my kids can’t wait! As my kids are getting excited about sights we’re going to see and things we’re going to do, I’m booking the trips and trying to find the best hotel and airline deals. Capital One has an incredible summer campaign around its Venture rewards credit card that focuses on its fantastic travel rewards options that I’m very excited to share all the information with you.

As many of us know, travel rewards can sometimes be difficult and a pain to use. People end up facing blackout dates, not enough miles to redeem, the requirement to book at specific hotels/airlines and many credit card companies periodically change the rules to using rewards, making it almost impossible for consumers to redeem points!

Yes, it can be very, very difficult and frustrating.

Well, thanks to Capital One Venture Card, you can say good-bye to all of the frustration when it comes to redeeming your rewards for travel.

The Capital One Venture Card is a premium travel rewards credit card that offers Capital One customers the opportunity to earn double miles for every dollar spent. That’s double miles on every purchase, every day. But the best for me is that Venture cardholders enjoy easy redemption with the flexibility to fly on any airline, anytime with no blackout dates, no advance booking required and no expiration of their rewards. You can also book at ANY hotel. I can be looking for the best deals for my family and not worry about paying a premium because I need to stay at one particular hotel chain. In fact, rewards can even be redeemed for any travel related expense, including taxi, cruise line and rental car purchases. As with all Capital One cards, if you are traveling abroad, there are no foreign transaction fees with Venture.

For me, this is music to my ears. We travel so much with our sons with their swim meet schedule and also 4-5 times a year for family vacations. We’re constantly on-the-road, so the Venture card, for me, is a travel lifesaver.

Another bonus that I love about Venture is that you get more rewards. I’m able to earn double miles (two per dollar) on every purchase, every day. For someone like me who buys in bulk with my large family, I love knowing that I’m racking up my points. They add up, and it’s wonderful to know that my points are going somewhere and that I will be able to get good use from them for some family travel.

This summer, we’re planning on traveling as much as possible. With Victoria being 11 months old, we thought it would be a good idea to plan places we can drive to throughout the summer. Since we love being on the go and doing things with the kids, we’re determined to do some fun, adventurous things.

Here is our summer itinerary:
1. Hershey Park
2. Virgina Beach
3. Cape Cod
4. Pittsburgh

I cannot wait to kick off this summer travel season! Our travels begin in July and I’m excited to be taking advantage of the rewards from my Venture card.

Tell me, where are you planning to travel to this summer?
